Saucy Chocolate Pudding
Chocolate sponge pudding with a rich chocolate sauce.

Sieve
- 1 cup flour
- 45 ml cocoa powder
- 3 ml salt
- 8 ml baking powder
- ½ cup sugar
- 5 ml vanilla essence
- 30 ml baking margarine, melted
- ¾ cup milk
Sauce:
- ½ cup sugar
- ¼ cup cocoa powder
- pinch of salt
- 400 ml boiling water
For the sauce combine all the ingredients together and pour into the 23cm round baking dish.
For the sponge sift all dry ingredients and stir in the sugar.
Mix all the liquid ingredients together and add to dry ingredients.
Mix until well combined.
Spoon the batter carefully over the chocolate sauce.
Bake at 180°C for 40 minutes.
- This pudding is awesome served with some vanilla ice-cream.
